Hi. My name is Allen Taylor. I'm an Iraq War veteran. These are my poems.

In 1997, I joined the Texas Army National Guard. In 1999, I predicted the War on Terror. Then, like most Americans, I was disheartened two years later to see my country attacked by a gang of thugs. In March 2003, disheartenment turned to anger. Our own thugs were making a huge mistake invading Iraq. I considered it an unnecessary and unjust military action. I still do.

In the summer of 2004, my National Guard unit was called into service and I spent all of 2005 on the battlefield of Iraq. Rumsfeld's Sandbox was conceived during that time.

I have worked on the poems in this book for five years. Some were written in Iraq, others since then. Despite my constant revision, they may never be finished. I am, nevertheless, ready to make them public.

For $2.99 $1.99 you can gain access to these historic poems online. When you purchase the print version (coming soon) I'll credit you the full price toward the purchase of the book, autographed by me. The poems in Rumsfeld's Sandbox are history, observation, emotion, provocative. They are a stand against unjust war. Stand with me.
